Who actually pays — the chapter or each member?
The chapter pays one flat monthly or annual fee. Members never see a paywall. Treasurers can put it on the chapter dues line item; most chapters split it across the semester so it works out to under $1 per member per month.
What happens if our chapter grows past the band?
Nothing. We don't charge per member. The bands are a recommendation tied to feature ceilings (zones, hour types, custom roles) — bigger chapters who want more of those upgrade to the next tier. Member count itself is unlimited at every tier.
Is this approved by our national HQ?
GreekLink works the same way as any chapter management tool — your bylaws and HQ rules still apply. We don’t share data with HQ unless you explicitly enable national-org analytics on the Pro tier.
How does hour tracking actually work?
You drop pins on a map (library, philanthropy site, chapter house). When a member is inside the radius for at least a few minutes, time accrues toward whatever hour type you assigned the zone. No manual logs, no honor system, no spreadsheets.
What happens to data if we cancel?
Your chapter exports a JSON archive any time from organization settings. After cancellation we keep data for 30 days in case you reactivate, then it’s deleted. Stripe receipts and invoices stay accessible to the billing owner indefinitely.
Can a chapter try before paying?
Yes. Every chapter starts on a 14-day trial — full feature access, no card required. The trial begins when an officer signs up, not when individual members join.
