What Greek life software actually costs
Most chapter-software pricing is quote-only, negotiated with national HQs, or buried inside national dues. We collected what is actually published, documented, or credibly reported — in one table, with dates. (Disclosure: GreekLink wrote this page. Our own pricing is in the same table, held to the same standard.)
First, the four pricing models
Comparing vendors dollar-to-dollar fails because they charge different people for different things. Every product in this market uses one of four models:
Per-member platform fees
OmegaFi, greekbill/Billhighway, GreekTrack, LegFi
A fee per member per semester or year, sometimes collected as a percentage withheld from payments. The bill scales with your roster — a 20-person new member class is a 20-person price increase — and it is often invisible, baked into national dues.
Member-paid convenience fees
Dueflow, MyGreek, Crowded
Free or cheap for the chapter; each member pays a fee on each payment. The chapter budget looks clean while members quietly pay $2–$15 per payment or 3–6% on cards. On small card payments these run 5%+ effective.
Flat per-chapter subscription
GreekLink, Greekly (quoted)
One price for the whole chapter regardless of size. Predictable, and initiation season does not change the bill. The platform adds no cut on dues; only standard card/bank processing applies to payments.
HQ-negotiated contracts
OmegaFi and re:Members national partnerships
Your national signs; chapters get rolled on. Pricing is confidential, appears as a line inside national dues, and opting out ranges from inconvenient to impossible — group tax filing is the usual lock.
Platform by platform: what is actually knowable
Published = on the vendor’s own pricing page. Documented = a real rate from a public chapter filing. Reported = third-party figures we could not verify — treat as directional.

A worked example: the 60-member chapter
Assumptions, stated so you can rerun the math: 60 members, $500 dues per member per semester, one payment each per semester — 120 payments and $60,000 of volume a year. Rates are the table’s rates; where a figure is “reported,” the result inherits that uncertainty.

No platform take on dues; money settles to the chapter’s own Stripe account.
The pattern to notice: “free for the chapter” moves the cost onto members and hides it in per-payment fees, and ACH is always drastically cheaper than cards. Per-member platforms cost more than every flat option at this chapter size — and the gap widens with every new member class.
The costs that don’t appear on pricing pages
Card processing. Somebody always pays it — the only questions are who and how much. 2.9–3% is normal; some platforms report effective rates near 5%, and one incumbent’s card fee explicitly cannot be passed to the payer, so the chapter eats it.
The new-member-class penalty. On per-member pricing, initiating 20 members raises your software bill by 20 members — forever. Flat pricing makes growth free.
Add-ons. Chapter tax filing, officer purchasing cards, parent billing, and priority support are frequently priced separately by legacy vendors. Ask for the all-in number.
Officer hours. The GroupMe + Sheets + Venmo stack is free in dollars and costs a treasurer several hours a week — the most expensive line on this page, and the one nobody budgets.
Lock-in. Group tax filing through your national’s platform is genuinely convenient — and it is also the reason leaving is hard. Know the exit before the entrance.
Seven questions to ask any vendor
- What is the all-in cost per member per year — platform fees plus processing, on our actual payment mix?
- Who pays card processing, and can it be passed to the payer?
- What happens to our bill when we initiate 20 new members in the spring?
- Is the price published anywhere, or only quoted?
- What does cancellation take — notice period, data export, and who files the taxes afterward?
- Where does dues money sit in transit, and whose name is on the account?
- What costs extra: tax filing, officer cards, support, parent billing?

Our side of the table, plainly
GreekLink is a flat subscription — $49/$89/$129 per month by chapter size, every member free — and adds no platform fee on dues: payments settle to your chapter’s own Stripe account. Events, geofenced hours, chat, points, and grades are in the same bill.
